As you can see I've added a map with everyone's whereabouts in the world. I will update this regularly as the community grows. If anyone knows anyone in the low populated areas on the map who would be interested let them know about the whole thing! Keep those photo's coming in!

Debate already...surely thats a good thing

I'm going to clear up a few issues here. Many questions have been asked which need to be answered.

Firstly, this is not a competition, it's a bit of fun! (however competitiveness is very much encouraged!!)

Since this is not a competition, there are no rules.....only "guidelines" below:

1. There will be a deadline for photos. When the voting on the frequency of themes finishes this will also be the deadline limit.
2.You will email your photos to me and I will upload them. Please send as a new email, not a reply so that everyone doesn't get a sneak preview of your photo.
3. There are no rules on "inapropriate content" Luckily I trust my own ethical boundaries which means that you do not have to have any since I will be filtering them.
4. And as for photoshop. I myself do not believe in it but since there are no rules then I suppose you can do what you want. I would prefer if it wasn't used but cropping is not a problem. I will not accept andy warhol type pics though.
5. Photos should be "new". This is all about getting out there and having a bit of fun. Please don't resort to using archived pictures on your hard drives even if you think you look sooooo hot in that photo back in 2003! For those of you who have already sent in a photo I will use them but for next time keep this in mind.
6.An email will be sent out when a new theme is released.

It seems that there is much talk behind closed (gmail) doors. I might have to sort out some sort of chat room where we can debate all of these important issues. Any ideas on how to do that would be welcome.

Lets begin

First of all welcome. I can't believe how much interest people have shown towards this. It started off as a notion in my head and all of a sudden it has grown way bigger than I ever imagined. People's enthusiasm is great and I think that is what will make this brilliant. So stick with it!

I was trying to decide which theme we would start with and realised that many people involved do not know each other. So with that in mind I think the first theme should be "Self Portrait". This will be a good way for everyone to introduce themselves. Go mad, experiment with new ideas but also remember why we are doing this. It is a worldwide project so maybe you could make your self portrait hint at where you are in the world. That's only an idea, it's up to you.

So for the lazy people involved here's an easy start. You don't even have to venture outside you're front door.
